Honest Pet Co gets searched often by pet parents trying to figure out one simple thing: is this brand actually worth trusting, or just another supplement company with good marketing? It's a fair question. India's pet supplement market has grown fast, and not every brand backs its claims with real evidence.
This post lays out exactly how Honest Pet Co, known to many pet parents simply as Hope or ho.pe., approaches formulation, sourcing, and testing. No vague promises, just a straightforward look at what goes into each hoplet.
The Problem With Most Dog Supplement Brands in India
Walk through any pet store aisle and you'll notice a pattern. Labels say "contains glucosamine" without listing the actual dosage. Others claim "with probiotics" but skip the strain name or CFU count entirely. This vagueness leaves pet parents guessing whether a product will genuinely help or just sit in the cupboard.
Many supplements also rely on high-heat processing, which can destroy sensitive nutrients like live probiotic cultures before the product even reaches your dog's bowl. Add in artificial flavors and fillers used purely to cut costs, and it becomes clear why so many pet parents feel confused rather than confident about their choices.
What Honest Pet Co Does Differently
Honest Pet Co built its entire brand around what we call Zero-Asterisk Nutrition. In simple terms, that means no fine print, no hidden disclaimers, and no "results may vary" tucked into tiny text. Every ingredient, every dosage, and every claim on our packaging reflects exactly what's inside the chew.
This philosophy shapes every product we make, from joint support to gut health chews. You can read more about how this approach started in our earlier post on why Honest Pet Co is India's trusted brand for dog supplements.
Ingredient Sourcing and Manufacturing
Unlike brands that outsource formulation to third-party labs, Honest Pet Co keeps the entire process in-house. Our recipes are developed by veterinarians and PhD nutritionists across Europe, the US, and India, then manufactured in our own facility rather than a generic contract manufacturer.
We also use cold-pressed and air-dried methods instead of high-heat extrusion. This gentler process protects nutrient integrity, so ingredients like probiotics, glucosamine, and herbal extracts retain their potency by the time they reach your dog. Every recipe follows AAFCO and FEDIAF compliance standards, the same benchmarks used in the US and Europe, not just loosely adapted local guidelines.
Third-Party Testing and Certifications
Honest Pet Co supplements go through third-party lab testing before reaching customers. Our facility holds ISO 22000:2018, GMP, and HACCP certifications, which cover food safety management, manufacturing practices, and hazard control respectively. These aren't marketing badges. They represent independent verification of how our products get made.
Over 1,000 research publications support the ingredients used across our range, so formulation decisions come from published science rather than trends or guesswork.
Real Results, Real Guarantee
Honest Pet Co backs every hoplet with a straightforward guarantee. Orders ship within 1 to 2 days across India, and if a pet parent isn't satisfied, we offer a full refund within 60 days, no questions asked. This policy exists because we stand behind what's written on the label, and we want pet parents to try our products without financial risk.
More than 5,000 dogs across India have used our chews so far, with results verified through customer feedback rather than only internal claims.
Making the Right Choice for Your Dog
Choosing between dog supplement brands often comes down to trust, and trust comes from transparency. Honest Pet Co earns that trust through clear labeling, in-house manufacturing, third-party testing, and a guarantee that actually protects the pet parent.
